Migliaia di persone hanno sfilato nel centro di Roma per dire il “no sociale” al referendum sulla riforma costituzionale del 22 e 23 marzo, per dire no alla guerra e al governo Meloni. Il corteo, organizzato dal sindacato Usb, da Potere al Popolo, dai movimenti studenteschi come Cambiare Rotta e Osa, è partito da piazza della Repubblica intorno alle 15 e ha raggiunto piazza San Giovanni. “Intanto diciamo no al referendum che ci sarà fra una settimana – dichiara Guido Lutrario, dell’esecutivo nazionale Usb – diciamo anche no alla guerra, soprattutto perché c’è di fatto un sostegno politico, non c’è una condanna esplicita, il governo ha un atteggiamento complice nei confronti del conflitto”.
Durante il corteo sono stati bruciati dei cartelli raffiguranti Giorgia Meloni che tiene al guinzaglio il ministro della Giustizia Carlo Nordio, oltre che delle foto di Netanyahu, di Trump e della bandiera statunitense. In piazza anche una barella con l’impersonificazione “malata” della Costituzione, circondata da finti medici. “La Costituzione è molto fiacca – racconta una delle organizzatrici della rappresentazione – abbiamo il virus del fascismo, la febbre del capitalismo e quindi per salvarla andremo a votare no”.

Thousands of people marched through the center of Rome to say “no” to the social referendum on the constitutional reform of March 22nd and 23rd, to say no to war and to the Meloni government. The procession, organized by the union Usb, Potere al Popolo, and student movements such as Cambiare Rotta and Osa, started from Piazza della Repubblica around 3 p.m. and reached Piazza San Giovanni. “Meanwhile, we say no to the referendum that will take place in a week – declares Guido Lutrario, of the national executive of Usb – we also say no to war, especially because there is actually political support, there is no explicit condemnation, the government has a complicit attitude towards the conflict.”
During the procession, signs depicting Giorgia Meloni holding Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio by the leash, as well as photos of Netanyahu, Trump, and the American flag, were burned. There was also a stretcher with a representation of the “sick” Constitution, surrounded by fake doctors. “The Constitution is very weak – says one of the organizers of the representation – we have the virus of fascism, the fever of capitalism, and therefore to save it we will vote no.”
